"They seem to think that being pretty and skinny will solve a string of problems, as if you can’t be one without the other, as if fixing a superficial problem will solve all else or be one less problem to be concerned about. They seem to forget that there are lines of people out there who hate pretty and/or skinny girls, too. Those girls they strive to be sometimes get isolated, picked on, and even beaten up for it, too - what a shock, really. But I guess that’s okay because there’s bound to be this supposed great person who will want you for your beauty and thinnest because of course he/she is already so flawless and can’t find your inner light because it’s being blocked by all those hindering features in excess. They rarely ask for something more realistic to work on. They don’t ask to be beautiful in a way that someone who’s truly worth it will see."
